Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Home Health Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. The CNA will need to provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in their homes, including overnight shifts, as needed.
Responsibilities:
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.
Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
Assist with mobility.
Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
Administer medications and treatments according to care plans and under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or other licensed healthcare provider.
Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, dishes, and maintaining a clean living environment for the patient.
Document care provided and patient progress in accordance with company policies and regulations.
Follow infection control procedures and maintain a safe environment for patients and themselves.
Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
Be available to work overnight shifts as needed, providing attentive care to patients during nighttime hours.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid CNA certification in the state of Georgia.
Current CPR certification.
Previous experience in home health care or a related field is preferred.
Ability to work independently and follow care plans as directed.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for travel to patients' homes.
Availability to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts as required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
Physical stamina to remain on their feet for long periods.
Comfortable working in various home environments.
