Examiner - Property. This position may be based anywhere within the
Engle Martin and Associates (a division of Cor Partners) is a leading
national independent loss adjusting and claims management provider. We
provide a comprehensive line of service offerings including commercial
property, casualty, inland marine/cargo, heavy equipment and large
loss adjusting, as well as TPA/claims management and subrogation.
This role effectively determines and communicates the extent of loss
or damage associated with commercial claims in a variety of business

What you'll be doing:
The Senior Claims Examiner provides claims examining services critical
to Engle Martin Client Administrative Services (EMCAS) property
accounts, potentially including those related to niche market clients.
The incumbent brings a sound knowledge of insurance coverage related
to various business lines. Working closely with a broad scope of
stakeholders, the incumbent must be able to handle extensive and/or
complex physical damage claims with minimal instruction or
* Determines coverage and identifies coverage issues related to
various claims, applying a thorough understanding of applicable
insurance policies and relevant coverage and loss types. Issue
appropriate Reservation of Rights and/or declination letters.
* Establishes contact and maintains effective professional
relationships with insured parties, agents, brokers, public
adjusters, attorneys, and others involved in the claims process.
Review claims and claim status with clients and brokers as
necessary to facilitate the prompt, accurate resolution of claims
* Obtains and prepares the necessary documentation associated with
the prompt, accurate, and thorough verification of losses and
administration of claims. Follows established policies,
procedures, and processes in preparing information, and submits
reports and documents in a timely manner and in accordance with
insurer s standards and expectations.
* Ensures the accuracy of information collected and reported and
guard against fraudulent claims.
* Reviews status reports and other work products of independent
adjusters and make recommendations to clients based on the
* Conducts prompt, thorough investigations of claims as required and

subrogation adjusters as appropriate.
* Provides support to the EMCAS and/or EMA teams in response to

What you'll need:
* 10 or more years of experience in commercial property claims
* Baccalaureate degree in a related field, or demonstration of
equivalent knowledge and critical thinking skills.
* Active and multiple licenses or ability to obtain such within
expected time frame.
* Lloyds of London experience is a plus.
Ability to understand claims adjudication process; sound knowledge
base and experience with commercial property claims and identified
niche market claims. Skills in analyzing, interpreting, synthesizing,
prioritizing, and reporting pertinent information; research and
investigative abilities; negotiating, conflict resolution and
persuasion abilities; sound written and oral communication skills;
trustworthiness, integrity, and personal accountability and adherence
